Maximising the effectiveness of virtual worlds in teaching and learning
A one day event sponsored by JISC CETIS and Eduserv being held on 16th January 2009 at the University of Strathclyde. With presentations covering who’s doing what with virtual worlds in UK HE and FE, experiences of using SecondLife with distance learners and a discussion of approaches to teaching that seem best suited to the affordances of this type of learning space.
I think SecondLife will feature heavily during the day but it’s not about SecondLife per se and other environments will be getting a look in.
