Adobe Kuler: Help with your colour schemes

Picture of colour schemesAn interesting blog post popped up in my RSS feeds today. It’s on the Presentation Zen blog written by Garr Reynolds and it’s called Using Kuler to create color themes. Kuler is an online tool hosted by Adobe which allows you to experiment with creating your own colour schemes. You can also search the colour schemes that have been created by others. One particularly nice feature is the ability to create a colour scheme from an image. Garr’s blog post focusses mainly on the use of the tool to create colour schemes for presentations…that is, after all, what the Presentation Zen blog is about. However, Kuler is a useful tool for any kind of colour work, and it’s fun…well, obviously if you like that kind of thing, which I do.

It really is one of those classic web tools – simple and limited in what it does.

I found a use for my Kuler colour schemes…I’ve been using them in Wordle
